How to find out if I am the right Photographer for you…

This is an important decision. You really have a lot of photographers to select from, so how do you choose?

I will answer all of these questions for you at the end.

I know the first thought in searching for a photographer during this selection process would be loving the photographers STYLE, but your thoughts should very quickly turn to SAFETY.

  • Does the photographer have a fully insured buisiness?

  • Are you able to view upon request a current Working with Children Check (a legal requirement)?

  • Is the photographer fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and Whooping Cough?

  • How does the photographer use props that ensure the safety of your baby?

  • Does the photographer specialise in Newborn Photography, believe me when I say there is a big difference.

  • How long has the photographer been specialising in Newborn Photography?

  • Do you feel comfortable with this photographer holding and posing your baby?

STYLE is very important. It is going to be the first impression that draws you to a particular photographer. There are many different STYLE’s to choose from.

  • Are you looking for posed newborn photography? This includes posing babies into props, using fabric backdrops, headbands and outfits.

  • Are you looking for lifestyle is which is more unposed and natural. If often takes place at your home or an outdoor location.

  • Does the gallery or portfolio of the photographer look consistant, well lit and in focus?

  • Do you like the photographers use of colour? Do they have more neutral tones? Do they use a lot of colour and vibrancy?

  • Does your photographer offer family and sibling photographs within the newborn photography session?

Many photographers will offer a wide variety of EXPERIENCES as a part of their booking, session and post session processes. They will also vary when it comes to the equipment they use and how they provide and store digital files.

  • What are you looking for as a part of price packages or pricing lists? Are you looking for digital files only or the option of printing through professional labs.

  • Would you prefer to select your images via an online gallery or book a sales session with your photographer?

  • Do they use professional grade photography equipment?

  • How long will your images be stored and how will they be stored?

  • What file types or\and print quality will be provided to you?

  • I offer a complimentary mini maternity session which gives us a wonderful opportunity to meet, see my studio and for me to explain many of the poses and options. And of course you get to ask questions and start planning the newborn photography session.

  • My newborn photography sessions are a combination of POSED and LIFESTYLE genre’s. My sessions include around 3-5 posed options and using the bedroom set up within my studio we can also achieve some really snuggly, beautiful candid moments too.

  • I offer a very simple pricing guide. I have one main PACKAGE that ensures you will recieve digital files, prints and a USB. I also have a full online shop to purchase awesome PROFESSIONAL quality prints, canvas, albums and more.

  • I offer an ONLINE selection gallery so that you can pick your favourites in the comfort of your own home. I am always more than happy to schedule a design appointment for wall art and album options. No extra cost.

  • I use the CANON 5D IV to photograph your session. My favourite feature is that it records the session to two different types of memory cards. If one should fail, the other is there for backup.

  • I provide high resolution .JPG files only. They will be edited with my style and the images you select for your gallery will be provided via digital download and USB. I do highly recommend backing up all of your files.
